re-Lifing at Green Cities

Last week, Peter Scuderi  (our Chief Operating Officer, Research and Commercialisation ) spoke as part of a panel at Green Cities discussing sustainable building refurbishment.
 
In the session titled “Management is the New Green”, Peter outlined the CRC’s re-Lifing project which included the business case and benefits and opportunities for further research through the proposed Sustainable Built Environment CRC. Others presenting in this session included  Pippa Connolly (Arup) and Mark Beattie (Davis Langdon). Green Cities, which the CRC supported as  a sector sponsor, ran over four days from 1-4 March featuring 72 speakers, 50 exhibitors, 32 sessions and over 100 industry experts. The Honourable Peter Garrett, Minister for Environment, Heritage and the Arts opened the conference . Touted as the number one green building event of 2009 for Australia, Green Cities is a joint initiative of the Property Council of Australia and the Green Building Council of Australia.
